The U.S. Senate, on June 15, 2004 voted 65 to 33 in favor of the federal
hate bill, "The Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act," LLEEA.
Although this bill was defeated by Republicans in conference on Oct.
8, 2004, the general House of Representatives, in a symbolic, non-binding
vote, voted 213 to 186 in favor if LLEEA.
On May 26th, the ADL introduced the "Local Law
Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2005," HR 2662.
It is virtually identical to the "Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2005" except
that it provides special federal protection for "gender identity" as
well as "sexual orientation."
This "Big Brother" legislation will establish a vast "anti-hate" bureaucracy
similar to Canada's, breaking down all barriers to federal intervention
in state's rights in law enforcement.
It will enforce everywhere the ADL/federal definition
that "hate" equals bias against federally protected groups, especially
homosexuals.
This twisted definition makes the Bible into "hate
speech." It sets up Bible believing Christians, pastors, talk show hosts,
etc., as "haters" - half guilty of being "hate criminals."
It is essential that patriots call the Capitol Hot Line toll-free at
1-800-TEXLASO and protest. Get the new post-election list of Senators

anti-hate law. Please do not vote for the "Local Law Enforcement
Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2005," HR 2662!
Dear Senator / Representative _____________:
On Oct. 8, 2004, 11 Christians were arrested and jailed for 21 hours
under Pennsylvania's anti-hate law. They had been peacefully preaching
at a "Gay Pride" parade.
While such laws give the impression of protecting the civil rights of
minorities from bias-motivated violence or intimidation, they actually
lead to loss of free speech. Under Canada's anti-hate law, it is now
virtually illegal to criticize homosexual behavior over the airwaves,
in print, or in public. The consequences: large fines and imprisonment.
Don't let that happen in America!
Respectfully-

Existing laws adequately criminalize all forms of violence and intimidation
against persons because of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation,
handicaps, etc.
The government's business is to enforce laws, not determine the
motivation of those who commit crimes. In Canada, such a dual responsibility
has created an end to free speech. Here's how: the government first
defines "hate" as public criticism of such groups as homosexuals
and Jews, then prosecutes as "haters" those who hurt the
feelings of such protected groups. Result: there now exists a chill on
free speech as sincere Canadians have become intimidated by "anti-intimidation" laws.
The FBI's annual "Uniform Crime Report" consistently
shows that so-called "hate crimes" constitute only about
1/10th of 1% of all crime in America. Of this 1/10th of 1%, most have
not been adjudicated but are called "crime" because of the
conclusions of investigating police. Actually, most are "suspected
bias crimes incidents" not proven crimes.
Such infinitesimal numbers of proven hate crimes does not justify unprecedented,
massive intrusion of the federal government into local law enforcement.
Please vote "NO" on the "Local Law Enforcement Hate
Crimes Prevention Act of 2005," HR 2662!
